Wheat Weaving is a handcraft from ages past.

It is best know from the United Kingdom, Scandinavian countries and Eastern Europe.

While the grain crops used differed, the techniques and traditions developed in each culture.

When the last sheeves of the harvest were gathered, those stems were woven into a decoration for the home. This protected the Spirit of the Harvest from the cold and weather of the winter.

When spring came and it was time to plant, the weaving was brought out and shaken. This released the Spirit into the new crop bringing blessings and abundance
